My name’s Dave Addey, and I’m the MD of Agant Ltd., an iPhone and iPad development company based in the UK. We’re the people behind the National Rail Enquiries iPhone app, amongst others.
As part of the development we do, I keep learning things which take some time to discover or research. I work on the theory that if I need to find them out, then someone else will do so too. So, if I bother to write up a summary of what I’ve learnt, then it might save someone else a lot of time. Which is a good thing.
The kinds of things I know are usually about one of the following:
- iPhone / iPod Touch/ iPad application development, especially regarding interface design and user experience
- QuickTime and CoreAudio, Apple’s excellent audio technologies
- JavaScript, and stretching what it can be used to do beyond the obvious
- CSS, especially as implemented in Internet Explorer 5 and above
I’m sure I’ll think of other stuff as I go along. You know how it is with blogs.
